Same here,I don't think I'll grab up BL,or UT or BoZ,there are better fighters out there that I want to get.The fusion time may have been short, but it was worth it every single time.Oh,I'll make sure to check it out then.

That's how I feel honestly. I love dbz and its one of the games I had a natural talent at it that took me far, but I'm done blindly buying dbz games. The only way I will participate in the future will be if they release good games with competitive gamestyle.

We might need to wait a lot for that, the thing is that DBZ games nowadays are trying to give the feeling that you are watching and playing an anime way too much, that's why UT was bad(there are multiple reasons, but this may be the biggest one,it just doesn't feel like a proper fighting game),also the reason why BoZ wasn't too amazing.A lot of anime games never see the daylight that other games do,which is a shame,as they has depth too,it's just that they're going the wrong way at times, and the support shown for the anime games is not as big as say,Street Fighter.

Well honestly when it comes to DBZ there are a lot of things that hold it back from being a competitive game on the mainstream level. One, is that in a game where the universe of characters are so strong and strength is such a spread out issue its hard to create balance with characters. In the show Goku can demolish Tien, so why make it where Tien can hang and bang with Goku in the fighter? I think that is why the balance issues present themselves. Lets be honest, if they balance the game out people will still be picking Gohan, Goku, Gogeta, Vegito, Kid Buu, etc. The game can change, the community will always stay the same. There will always be people that want to have the upper hand no matter how little it is, and to be honest yes characters in RB1 and RB2 were unbalanced but at the same time put a bad character in a good players hands and they will be able to get wins. They talk about good fundamentals in Street Fighter, I think certain players in DBZ have good fundamentals when you have that I feel like character choice becomes less of an issue. In RB1 I'll be the first to admit I didn't really know how to do anything extensive with Android 18, but when I used her in ranked I still won every match just because of my knowledge of the game and how to get around the said best characters. For DBZ to come back to a better style I think they need to start with the basics and work their way back up. Trying to add too much in a single game will always be a failure in my opinion. Everyone liked the way RB1 fighting style was(at least the tryhards in the 360 community) but in RB2 they changed the whole combo style and fighting mechanics up and that turned a lot of people off from the game. Yeah you can adapt, but that doesn't mean you will have fun when you don't find the system in place beneficial as the previous one was. Undertaker was good at RB2 and he won a lot of games, but he still didn't like the game. So eventually he stopped playing. The community died within 3 months on 360. Too much change, ruined the game. I think myself and WOF II SaiyaN x were like the only 2 who stuck with the game for the full 3 months before we ended up quitting too. We quit because it wasn't the same without everyone we experienced such good times and great fights with on RB1.

Yes,true, and that balancing doesn't end up too well,Buuhan being a good example of a not so good character to use on RB1,yet the strongest villain in the show. There are many people that want the upper hand in every single fighting game, and there even are the so said bandwagoners, which go to the other top-tier characters if the top-tier character he used up till that point get's nerfed.Sadly,DBZ games will always have a lot of content due to the amount of characters, the depth of the story etc etc. Don't remind me of RB2,I still up until this point wish that I would've bought either Street Fighter 4 or Tekken 6 instead TT^TT

You can change a game, but the community not so much.

Yeah, that can be bad sometimes tho,if the game changes from an RPG to a first-person shooter, then the old fans will hate the way the new game is played, but yet again,a shooter could attract people better than an RPG.It's really hard to keep fans both new and old pleased, and at the same time make an outstanding game.
